Art Therapy
Art therapy is similar to other psychotherapeutic approaches except that art is central in the therapeutic process. It does not require any previous experience in art. Imagery, colour, and art processes are integral to allowing for creative expression of thoughts and feelings. Art therapy is a means to activate the source of creativity that encompasses all human beings. It is beneficial to people of all ages for self-expression, awareness, personal growth, and healing.
As your art therapist, Laura David Foster facilitates artistic expression to connect with issues that are difficult to verbalize such as grief, anxiety, and depression.
With creative art as the main process, she helps clients work through psychological, interpersonal and spiritual issues. Laura guides clients to create their way to better health in all dimensions of wellness.

SPIRITUALLY INTEGRATED PRACTICE
This is a holistic approach that rests on appreciation of the client’s spirituality and how it is interwoven with other dimensions of life. In her art therapy practice, Laura meets clients where they are in their spiritual journey. She companions individuals and groups as they access creativity, wisdom and intuition. Through art-making and reflection, clients can find greater compassion for self and others, and explore meaning and purpose of life.
