Creativity and Connection: Art-based therapy Group II

Fridays, January 12 – February 16, 2:30 – 4:00pm

This is a 6-week closed group for adults who have mental health issues and would be interested in the opportunity to express themselves through art-making and imagery. Participants in this group are welcome to share as much as they are comfortable with about their art processes, imagery and reflections. Artistic experience and skills are not necessary to participate.

Major depression, general anxiety and other mental health issues can cause feelings of being misunderstood and isolated. Internalized stigma, loss, and grief associated with these issues can wreak havoc on self-confidence. Through art-making within a therapeutic group setting, you and others in the group will explore themes of acceptance, self-compassion, mindfulness, and resilience.

Space is limited, please register soon to avoid disappointment.
Cost: $180 (+gst.) per person, includes art supplies. Registration deposit: $50, balance due on Jan. 12. Payments can be made through PayPal.
