As much as you know the importance of balance for overall health, are you finding your need to recharge and rejuvenate lately keeps falling to the bottom of your list of priorities?
Self care is essential to our well-being. Those in the health care and helping professions such as nurses, social workers, counsellors, psychotherapists and students training in these fields know this full well, yet we can still find ourselves struggling to keep our own in check.
Particularly as we have been navigating this pandemic but even before, we give all our energy to our work and find ourselves feeling depleted at the end of the day.
Expressing ourselves through creativity and mindfulness in the fun playful environment of an art therapy group is one way to nurture our self care. We will explore mindful, creative, easy and healthy self care strategies that will be helpful with daily stress, and any burnout and compassion fatigue that you may have been or are experiencing.
